Submission Guidelines

Launch Edition

Contributors should expect editorial amendments. Acceptance of a submission does not guarantee publication.

Thank you for contributing to the launch of DINKFOLK. DINKFOLK is an editorial publication for people living the DINK life — dual-income households designing life on their own terms. We aim to create thoughtful, high-quality content that reflects how our audience live, spend, travel, invest, entertain, build relationships, and shape their lifestyles.

As a new publication, some editorial processes and requirements may evolve. The guidelines below reflect our current requirements and may be subject to change during the editing and publishing process.

Article Requirements

Word Count

  • Articles should be between 700–1,000 words
  • If you believe your topic requires a longer format, please discuss this with the editorial team before submission

Tone & Audience

Please write for readers who are already living the DINK lifestyle.

We are not looking to explain, justify, or defend the lifestyle. Instead, assume the reader already exists and focus on serving them with valuable insights, inspiration, recommendations, experiences, expertise, or practical guidance.

Content should feel:

  • Intelligent and considered
  • Editorial rather than promotional
  • Informative without being instructional
  • Aspirational without being inaccessible

Article Title

Please provide a proposed title for your article. Titles may be amended by the editorial team for consistency, readability, SEO, or editorial fit.

Originality

By submitting an article, you confirm that:

  • The work is your own original content
  • You have the right to submit it for publication
  • Any quotations, statistics, research, or third-party references have been appropriately attributed

Images

Image Specifications

  • Minimum width: 1,800 pixels
  • JPEG or PNG format preferred
  • High-resolution images suitable for online publication

Image Ownership & Usage Rights

Please confirm the source of all submitted images. For each image, provide:

  • Photographer or creator name
  • Any required credit
  • Confirmation that DINKFOLK has permission to publish the image

If the Images Are Your Own

Please confirm:

  • The images are your original work or you hold the rights to use them
  • Your preferred image credit
  • Any website URL you would like associated with the credit

Contributor Attribution

Please provide the following information:

Contributor Name

The name you would like displayed on the article.

Short Biography

50–100 words introducing yourself, your expertise, business, project, platform, or background.

Website Link

Contributors may include one website link.

Social Media Link

Contributors may include one social media profile link. These links will typically appear within the contributor attribution section.

Transparency & Disclosure

AI-Assisted Content

If artificial intelligence tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms) were used during the research, drafting, or editing process, please disclose this when submitting your article.

AI-assisted content is permitted; however:

  • Contributors remain fully responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted
  • Any facts, statistics, recommendations, quotes, or claims should be verified before submission
  • DINKFOLK reserves the right to request or make revisions where content appears generic, inaccurate, or insufficiently original

Exclusivity

We prefer content that has not been previously published elsewhere. By submitting your article, you confirm either:

  • The article has not been previously published, or
  • You have disclosed any previous publication, syndication, or substantial overlap with existing content

DINKFOLK reserves the right to determine whether a submission is sufficiently original for publication.

Commercial Interests & Relationships

We welcome contributions from founders, business owners, consultants, creators, influencers, experts, professionals and interesting people. If your article mentions, recommends, reviews, or discusses:

  • Your own business
  • A business you work for
  • A business in which you have a financial interest
  • A product, service, destination, venue, experience, or brand from which you may benefit commercially

Please disclose this relationship when submitting your article. Disclosure does not automatically prevent publication. However, transparency helps maintain editorial integrity and trust with our readers.

The DINKFOLK editorial team reserves the right to add disclosure notes, request revisions, reclassify content as sponsored or promotional, or decline submissions that do not meet our editorial standards.

Publication Rights

By submitting content to DINKFOLK, you grant DINKFOLK a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to publish, edit, distribute, repurpose, and promote the article across its website, newsletters, social media channels, and future marketing materials. Copyright remains with the contributor unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Editorial Process

All submissions are subject to:

  • Copy editing
  • Fact checking where appropriate
  • Headline adjustments
  • Formatting and style amendments
  • Image selection and placement decisions

The DINKFOLK editorial team reserves the right to decline, edit, postpone, or remove content that does not align with the publication's editorial standards, audience, or positioning.
